The heart means, I suppose, “This pedometer is good for your heart. If you don’t exercise enough, I can only assume you don’t care about your health or your heart or your loved ones that care about your health and heart.” It grades me by telling me how many steps I took that day and how far I fell short of its goal for me. Let me be clear that I always fall short.

I’m trying to ignore it, but it’s difficult. I went on a walk with my husband today and felt compelled to bring my phone with me just to prove to it that I DO exercise. Oh, maybe not as much as my phone thinks I should, but I exercise some. See? I care. But why does my phone get to decide what counts as meeting my daily exercise quota? I mean, I also do [easyazon_link identifier=”B00DLX76GY” locale=”US” tag=”greatbookgood-20″ cart=”n” popups=”n”]Tracy Anderson exercise DVD[/easyazon_link]s. (In truth, I’ve yet to start looking like Tracy, but I still think doing her exercise regimen helps and it makes me feel better as I eat my brownies with chocolate buttercream frosting.)

My husband tells me I can turn off this critical, judging phone app and I just might do so– as soon as I prove to it just how fit and in shape I really am.

I’m now up to 71 likes on my FB page and although I don’t actually NEED your likes (I already have 71 after all), please feel free to like the page here.

Finally, here’s the featured item: [easyazon_infoblock align=”none” cart=”n” identifier=”B01GJEONVC” locale=”US” tag=”greatbookgood-20″]

[easyazon_image align=”none” cart=”n” height=”75″ identifier=”B01MRZFBBH” locale=”US” src=”https://images-na.ssl-images-amazon.com/images/I/51y5Cu%2Bv8dL._SL75_.jpg” tag=”greatbookgood-20″ width=”75″]

[wpdevart_like_box profile_id=”facebook.com/humorbythebook” connections=”show” width=”300″ height=”550″ header=”small” cover_photo=”show” locale=”en_US”]

I recently purchased a new cell phone.
